Papadiamantis House Museum

When in Skiathos island, do not miss a visit to Papadiamantis House Museum.

Very close to the port and Papadiamanti street this small two-storey house, where the famous Greek writer Alexandros Papadiamantis grew up, was built in 1860.

With its tiny rooms, the small fireplace and the narrow wooden staircase it is a typical example of the island’s architecture of that era.

The visitors can admire the simplicity of the house, the beautiful Skiathan textiles and the traditional furniture that decorate each part of the house.

At the basement of the building there is an exhibition of the writer’s books and manuscripts where visitors can purchase his books that have been translated into many languages.

So why not spend a few moments of your holiday to meet with the Skiathan architecture and culture?
